Add a New Material
If the required material does not exist in the Default Stock, you must directly edit the referenced text file.
The reference file is shown at the bottom of the Options → Sheet Metal → Stock window under Sheet Metal Stock Data File.
By default, it is saved in the following folder:
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\IronCAD\IRONCAD\<IRONCAD Version>\ja-JP\SheetMetal\Stocktbl.txt
Be sure to close IRONCAD before editing the text file.
[1] Open Stocktbl.txt.
[2] Copy the section between [Begin StockTable] and [End StockTable] from another material (e.g., SPCC).
[3] Paste the copied section at the desired location for the new material.
Leave one blank line above [Begin StockTable] and one blank line below [End StockTable].
[4] Modify the following fields:
- TableID: Any string
- Title: Material name
[5] Save the file (Overwrite Save).
[6] Restart IRONCAD and confirm that the new material has been applied.
The stock values within the newly created material will retain the copied settings. Be sure to update them by using Edit to define the appropriate properties.
Always create a backup copy of the edited Stocktbl.txt file.
