Adding and Editing Sheet Metal [Stock]

This section explains how to add and edit Sheet Metal Stock.
Stock can be managed from Options → Sheet Metal → Stock.

Add stock

[1] Select the position where you want to add the new stock, then click Add.

Notes
The new stock will be inserted below the selected stock.

[2] In the displayed dialog, enter the desired properties.

Edit Stock

[1] Select the stock you want to edit, then click Edit.


[2] In the displayed dialog, modify the desired properties.

Add a New Material

If the required material does not exist in the Default Stock, you must directly edit the referenced text file.
The reference file is shown at the bottom of the Options → Sheet Metal → Stock window under Sheet Metal Stock Data File.


By default, it is saved in the following folder:
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\IronCAD\IRONCAD\<IRONCAD Version>\ja-JP\SheetMetal\Stocktbl.txt
WarningBe sure to close IRONCAD before editing the text file.

[1] Open Stocktbl.txt.


[2] Copy the section between [Begin StockTable] and [End StockTable] from another material (e.g., SPCC).


[3] Paste the copied section at the desired location for the new material.

Notes
Leave one blank line above [Begin StockTable] and one blank line below [End StockTable].

[4] Modify the following fields:
  1. TableID: Any string
  2. Title: Material name


[5] Save the file (Overwrite Save).

[6] Restart IRONCAD and confirm that the new material has been applied.
Warning
The stock values within the newly created material will retain the copied settings. Be sure to update them by using Edit to define the appropriate properties.
Always create a backup copy of the edited Stocktbl.txt file.
