Create Dimensions on an Isometric View

This section explains how to create dimensions on an isometric view exported from a 3D scene.

If the Isometric View Has Not Yet Been Created

In the following steps, make settings and create dimensions:
[1] Open CAXA Draft, then go to [Menu] → [Options].
From the list on the left, select [3D Interface], then go to the [View properties] tab.
Check [Dimension Type] and set it to either [Auto] or [Real].

[2] Create the Isometric view.

[3] Click [Smart Dimension] in the [Annotation] tab.

[4] To create dimensions as shown below, click on the red edges rather than the endpoints to apply dimensions correctly.

If the Isometric View Is Already Created Without Dimension Projection Enabled

You can enable dimension projection with the following steps:
[1] Select the existing isometric view, then right-click and go to
[3D View Edit], then click [View Properties].

[2] The [View Properties] dialog will appear.
In the [General] tab, check [Real] of [Dimension Type], then click [OK] to close the dialog.

[3] Click [Dimension] in the [Annotation] tab to add dimensions.
