Migrate each setting to a new version

Starting with IRONCAD 2026, a feature has been added to migrate settings from previous versions.
This allows you to migrate option settings, keyboard shortcuts, and other settings.
Warning
Currently, some settings cannot be migrated correctly.
〇 CAXA Draft
→ Currently, CAXA Draft cannot be migrated.

〇3D Options File
- [Options] → [AutoCAD Import] → [Default Length Unit]


〇 Display of ribbon
- If the default ribbon has been customized, those changes will not be migrated.
→ Only custom-created tabs can be migrated.

〇 Shortcut key
- If the default keyboard shortcuts have been modified, those changes will not be migrated.
→ Only newly added keyboard shortcuts can be migrated.

〇 Quick Access Commands
- →Currently, Quick Access Commands cannot be migrated.

〇 3D catalog file
- Catalog files saved in folders requiring special permissions, such as [Program Files], cannot be migrated.
→ Only catalog files saved in user or local folders can be migrated.

Launch the migration tool

Notes
All versions of IRONCAD must be closed before launching the Migration Tool.
[1] Click the Windows Start menu.


[2] Select the IRONCAD 2026 folder from the list.


[3] Click [IRONCAD Migration Tool] in the folder.

[4] The [IRONCAD Migration Tool] will launch.

Export the configuration file

[1] Select the [Export...] checkbox and click [Next].


[2] Select the version whose settings you want to export, then click [Next].


[3] Select the items to migrate, then click [Finish].

Property Templates: Custom Property Templates
Custom materials: Material Information
Custom Parts Library: Piping Function Parts

Warning
Currently, these settings cannot be migrated individually.
All items must be checked.

[4] Specify the save location and file name for the settings file.

[5] Once the export is complete, the screen will change.
Select [Home] or [Close].


Import a configuration file

[1] Select the [Import...] checkbox and click [Next].


[2] Click [Select File] and select the settings file to import.
Select the destination version from the drop-down menu below, then click [Next].


[3] The following message will appear.
The message advises you to back up the original settings files. If you have no concerns, click [OK].


[4] Select the items to import, then click [Finish].


[5] Once the import is complete, the screen will change.
Select [Home] or [Close].
