Starting with IRONCAD 2026, a new feature has been added that allows externally linked models to be copied as mirrored models in separate files, or mirrored linked parts to be saved externally as separate parts.
With this feature, externally linked files are now displayed in a mirrored state when opened.
Steps
[1] Use TriBall to [Mirror] → [Link] any model.
[2] Right-click the mirror linked model and select [External Link management] → [Save As Part/Assembly].
Before saving externally, ensure that the short anchor needle is aligned with the mirror direction.
[3] Specify a file name and click [Save].
[4] The dialog shown below will appear.
Select [Yes] to save the model as a separate file.
Select [No] to save the model in the same file.
Note that when saving as a separate file, the specified text is added to the mirrored model's file name.
The text added to the file name can be changed under [Options] → [Interaction] → [Mirror external link suffix].
