If data that previously worked smoothly in earlier versions now feels slower in IRONCAD 2024, the cause may be related to the new [H-Dynamic] setting introduced in this version.
Please try the following workaround to improve performance.
The [H-Dynamic] feature was newly introduced in IRONCAD 2024.
For more information about H-Dynamic, please refer to the user guide below:
Procedure:
[1] Go to the [Visualization] tab and click [Realistic...].
[2] In the Realistic panel, under Dynamic mode, uncheck [H-Dynamic (Dynamically Adjust Details)].
To Set This as the Default Setting
By default, the [H-Dynamic] option is enabled.
If you prefer to have it disabled by default, follow the steps below to create and save a new template.
[1] Open a new scene and uncheck [H-Dynamic (Dynamically Adjust Details)].
[2] Save the scene as a template file using [Save As].
Make sure no parts or assemblies are present in the scene before saving.
[3] Move the saved template file to the following directory:
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\IronCAD\IRONCAD\<※26.0>\ja-JP\Template\Scene\Metric
(※:The number varies depending on the IRONCAD version.)
Ensure IRONCAD is closed when moving the file.
Please make a backup of your newly created template file.
[4] Create new Scene.
[5] Select your created template and click [Set Selection as Default Template].
After setting it as the default template, you do not need to select it manually each time.
When using [New Scene], the saved template will automatically be used.
Even if you save older version data using the above method, when opened in IRONCAD 2024, the [H-Dynamic] option will still be enabled by default.
For files created in earlier versions, you will need to manually disable H-Dynamic for each individual file.
