Projecting a Surface

This section explains how to project a surface part in CAXA Draft.
In the [Scene] browser, a surface is represented by a yellow icon (see “Part 2” in the figure below).


To project a surface, you must first enable the option to include surfaces in the projection.
The settings can be applied either before projection or after projection.

Setting the Option Before Projection

[1] Click [Standard View] in the [3D Interface] tab.


[2] [Export standard view] dialog is displayed.
Check [Surface] of [Projection Objects] in the [Options] tab.

[3] Create View.


Setting the Option After Projection

[1] Select the projected view and click [View Properties] in the right-click menu.


[2] The [View Properties] dialog will appear.
On the [General] tab, check the option [Surface] in the [Projection Objects], then click [OK].
