Replacing the Server PC

This section outlines the procedure for replacing the server PC.

Operations on the Old Server PC

[1] Shut down the Network License Manager (NLM).
Refer to Step 1–2 of the NLM Restart Manual for details.

[2] Remove the USB license dongle from the old server PC.

Operations on the New Server PC

[3] Install NLM on the new server.

[4] Insert the USB license dongle into a USB port on the new server PC.

[5] Start the NLM.

When launching, be sure to right-click the NLM icon and select "Run as administrator" from the context menu.

[6] Check the IP address of the new host PC using the ipconfig command.
Open Command Prompt, type ipconfig, and press Enter to view the IP address.

Operations on Client PCs

[7] Update each client PC to connect to the new host IP address.
