TriBall Modes

TriBall Modes

This section explains the available modes of the TriBall tool.
TriBall has the following three modes:
  1. Move Shape and Anchor
  2. Move Shape Only
  3. Position TriBall Only    (SPACE key)
You can switch between these modes by right-clicking after activating the TriBall.


Move Shape and Anchor

This is the default mode when the TriBall is activated.
In this mode, any movement or transformation using the TriBall will affect the IntelliShape, part, or assembly along with its anchor.
TriBall Color: Light Blue

Move Shape Only

When parts or assemblies are positioned using connection points, the TriBall for the later-placed parts/assemblies is automatically set to Move Shape Only mode.
In this mode, you can move IntelliShapes, parts, or assemblies without affecting the anchor position.

To enable this mode:
Activate the TriBall, then right-click and select [Move Shape Only].
TriBall Color: Green

Position TriBall Only    (SPACE key)

This mode is used to relocate the TriBall pivot point itself without moving the shape or anchor.
To enable this mode:
Activate the TriBall, right-click and select [Position TriBall Only],
or press the [Spacebar] while in half-width input mode to toggle modes.
TriBall Color: White
