Create Frame and Title Block and Template in CAXA

Learn how to create a template file that works with the property information of the 3D model.

Types of Templates

There are three types of CAXA Draft templates.
  1. Title column template (.chd)
    You can register the title field.
  2. Frame Template (.cfm)
    Only the frame can be registered by specifying the size.
  3. Template (.and tpl)
    Standards, various style settings, layer information, etc. can be registered.
    It is also possible to register, including frame and title field.
Notes
Check the location of the template with CAXA Draft options.
When CAXA Draft is closed, IRONCAD options are opened.
Check the options with CAXA Draft open.

Preparation and Precautions

  1. Frame Data (.Prepare the dxf, the standard.JisMake sure it is, and disassemble it if the frame or part of the title field is blocked.
  2. Set the layout, style, and character style.
  3. Be sure to match the base point of the frame and the base point of the title field in the same place.
    In addition, in CAXA Draft, the center of the frame is the origin position on the system.

Template in the title field (.chd)

Define the title field and file (.Save it to chd.
When you expand the plus mark of the optional Path → Template Location, you will see the user-defined and system-defined paths.

Frame Template (.cfm)

Define the frame and file (.Save to CFM).
When you expand the plus mark of the optional Path → Template Location, you will see the user-defined and system-defined paths.

Template (.and tpl)

[1] Load the saved frame template and the title field template to define and rearrange the attributes of the title field.

[2] File the edited title field (if necessary.Save to chd) overwrite or save to an alias.

[3] Create optional matching rules and enter parts and custom properties in 3D.

[4] After saving 3D, project it with CAXA to see if the title field reflects it.

[5] If you can confirm the reflection, delete all the drawings on the drawing, including the title field and frame.

Make sure there is no link in Edit Link in the 3D Interface tab.

[7] Again, read the saved frame and title fields to template the CAXA Draft file (.Save it to TPL.

[8] After saving to a template location, create CAXA Draft in New to display the template registered in My Templates.
Enable Settings as Default Template and use it.
