Creating a Sheet Metal Part Using [Curved Stock]

This section explains how to create sheet metal using [Curved Stock].

Procedure:

[1] Drag and drop [Curved Stock] from the [Sheet Metal] catalog.


[2] In the [Select Stock] window, choose a stock and click [OK].
Notes
The visibility of this window can be set in the options.


[3] Enter IntelliShape mode and right-click to open the context menu, then select [Edit Cross-Section].


[4] Go to the [Sketch] tab → click [Polyline], then modify the guideline.

[5] To create a polyline with bends, add fillets at the bend points.
[Sketch] tab → [Edit] group → [Fillet]

Warning
If no fillets are created, an error message will be displayed.
(Bends willl be created without fillets from IronCAD 2025. In at case, it will be created with a minimum R)


[6] Click [OK] to exit the sketch.
The sheet metal shape will be created.
