When creating hole dimensions in 2D drawings or CAXA Draft, holes made with [Cylindrical Hole] will display the plate thickness value—even if the hole is actually through.
To display the hole as [THRU], as shown on the right side of the illustration, use either the [Custom Hole] command from the [Tool] catalog or the [Thru Cut Cylinder] from the [Start] catalog.
Holes created using [Cut Cylinder] from the [Shape] catalog allow flexible control over whether the hole is through or not, but they do not display as [THRU].
This section explains how to convert a cylindrical hole to a through hole for proper dimension display.
Procedure:
[1] Select the cylindrical hole.
[2] From the right-click menu, click [Edit Forward End Condition] and [Edit Backward End Condition], then set both to [Extrude thru Part].
[3] Create a 2D projection drawing in CAXA.
[4] Create [Hole Dimensions].
The hole will now be displayed as [THRU].
