Starting with IRONCAD 2025, it is possible to directly assign parameters to dimensions created with [Smart Dimension].
Procedure:
[1] Select the part, right-click, and choose [Parameter].
[2] Add parameters via [Add Parameter].
After adding the parameters, click [OK] to finish.
[3] Select the part at the Intellishape level (highlighted in yellow), right-click, and choose [Edit Cross-Section].
[4] Go to the [Sketch] tab and select [Smart Dimension] to create dimensions in the cross-section.
[5] Double-click the created dimension.
In the dialog that appears, enter = (equals sign).
[6] Right-click on the scene and click [Parameters].
[7] Click the Parameter Name you want to assign.
The formula will be automatically entered in the dialog.
[8] Click [OK] to assign the parameter. The dimension is now parameterized.
When a Smart Dimension is highlighted in yellow, it indicates that a parameter has been assigned.
