Drilling Holes in Multiple Overlapping Parts Simultaneously

Drilling Holes in Multiple Overlapping Parts Simultaneously

This section explains how to drill holes in multiple parts at the same time.
It improves modeling efficiency and reduces hole misalignment.

Procedure: Example with a Cylindrical Hole

[1] Drag and drop [Cut Cylinder] from the [Shape] catalog onto the part using right-click.

[2] Select [Drop as Assembly Feature].

[3] Choose [All assemblies/parts under the selected level], then click [OK].

[4] In the scene browser, select the "H Cylinder" under the created [AF group*].

[5] Right-click on the [H Cylinder].

[6] Select [Create Part Feature]. This will replicate the hole in each part.

[7] Delete the now unnecessary "H Cylinder" in the AF group.

[8] In the add-on properties of each part's hole, enable the threading settings.
